XoticのVoltage Doublerは9VDCを15Vまたは18VDCまで電圧をステップアップしてくれるコンバーターです。（最大電流80mA）
なぜVoltage Doublerが必要かというと、電圧レベルは高いほどヘッドルームが大きくなります。電圧を上げると、Xoticペダルのダイナミクス、ヘッドルーム、トップエンドのサウンドに輝きが増し、コンプレッション感が少なくなります。
