Background
Xotic Wah is modeled based on the Holy Grail wah, 1967-1968 Italian-built Clyde McCoy Wahs. With the Xotic Wah you don’t get one or three sounds in one pedal, you get unlimited sounds with unique controls that shape and contour your sound the way you hear it! The adjustability and flexibility of the Xotic Wah makes this one of the most versatile wah pedals available today!
External Controls
BIAS CONTROL — ワウサウンドの要となる第一段目のトランジスターのバイアスコントロールです。時計回りにノブを回すと低音域のワウエフェクトが強調されます。逆に回すとスムースでクリアーなワウサウンドを得られます。
※ツマミを回すとノイズが発生しますが故障ではありません。
WAH Q CONTROL — このノブは、Q（フィルタピーク）をコントロールします。フィルタ効果のかかり具合を調節します。
TREBLE & BASS CONTROL — ２バンドEQ は、+/-15dBの可変幅を提供します。さまざまな演奏スタイルと機材に対応させるために便利な機能です。
ADJUSTABLE RUBBER STOPPER — ペダルの裏面下部に位置するこのラバーバンパーは、ペダルの可変範囲を決めます。
ADJUSTABLE PEDAL TORSION — ペダル右横のナットを調整することにより、ペダルのトルク調整が可能です。
LED INDICATOR — TLEDは、ペダルがオン時に点灯します。電池残量が50％ 以下に低下し、電池交換が必要な場合にLEDが点滅します。
DC JACK — 外部電源を使用する場合、定電圧式9VDCアダプターを使用して下さい。2.1mmバレルプラグ、センターマイナスであることを確かめて下さい。エフェクトが使用されない時は、インプットのプラグを抜いておくと電池は消費されません。電池の交換は、底板の4本のラバーフィートを外し底板を外して行って下さい。
Internal Controls
INPUT GAIN — Controls wah input gain– by turning clockwise it adds up to +6dB of Wah Boost.
RELAY BYPASS SWITCHING — Xotic Wah uses a relay bypass switching for true bypass switching.
INTERNAL DIP SWITCHES — Controls wah resonance frequency range.
Inductor
The Xotic Inductor gives the same sound and response as Halo inductors that were used in 1967 Clyde McCoy wah pedals. The ferrite core material and coil wire are carefully selected to match the sweetest, musical voice of vintage tone.
Potentiometer
Xotic Wah Potentiometers accurately replicates the feel and tone shaping capabilities of vintage ICAR potentiometers provideing extra long life with very low noise level.
Microcontroller
Controlled relay true bypass circuit, which allows for transparent bypass tone, while incorporating reliable switching with minimum one million life cycle.
